His philosophy is to provide individualised and holistic care in helping his patients in dealing with her problems. Ensuring they receive information to make an informed decision in times that can prove challenging for them is the cornerstone of his care.
In Obstetrics, he strongly believes in good pre pregnancy care laying the ground work for a successful pregnancy. He has had extensive experience in dealing with complex medical conditions derived from his time spent both in Melbourne and England.
He offers management in a wide spectrum of Gynaecological disorders affecting women. These range from menstrual disorders, polycystic ovaries, Pap smear abnormalities through to endometriosis and fibroid issues. He has developed a special interest in pelvic floor reconstruction for prolapse and incontinence, establishing the Whitehorse Pelvic Floor and Continence Clinic specifically to deal with such problems.
A strong advocate for minimally invasive surgery, he has trained in robotic surgery, using the Da Vinci Robotic technique. This coupled with using the Single Site Incision Surgery (SILS) approach further enhance the outcomes for women. With this he performs major surgery like hysterectomy with minimal disruption to a woman’s life. They experience a shorter convalescence and earlier return to normal life in comparison to more traditional techniques.
For 10 years he was Head on one of the Obstetric Units at Box Hill Hospital. Recently he has stepped down from this role but is still actively providing antenatal care for the Hospital.
The Hospitals he works at are Mitcham Private, Knox Private and the Epworth Eastern Hospital.
