Dr Yang Wang is a Medical Oncologist with experience in the management and care of patients living with gynaecological, breast, genitourinary and skin cancer. He believes in clear communication with patients, providing personalised care and shared decision making.

Dr Wang holds public appointments at Eastern Health and Alexandra District Health. He is also involved in clinical research regarding predictive biomarkers of response to immunotherapy at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Dr Wang has a Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours at Monash University and undertook his medical studies at Deakin University. He subsequently undertook his physicians training at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne before completing his Medical Oncology advanced training through the Victorian Medical Oncology Training Program at Monash Health and Northern Health. He subsequently completed a clinical fellowship in Gynaecology, Upper Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary cancer and Melanoma at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and was co-president of the Victorian Medical Oncology Training Group. He was awarded fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in October 2024.

Dr. Wang is a member of the Medical Oncology Group of Australia, European Society of Medical Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group. Dr Wang has published numerous first author papers in peer-reviewed international academic journals. He has been a sub-investigator and a principle-investigator across various gynaecological-oncology trials.
